The effective buffer range of MES is pH 5.5-6.7, which is especially suitable for experimental needs in weakly acidic environments.

Calcium soap dispersant
Usage
Detergents and cleaners:
MES can be added to detergent as a calcium soap dispersant to prevent calcium soap (calcium fatty acid) from forming precipitation in hard water, thereby improving the cleaning efficiency of detergent.
Industrial cleaning agent:
In industrial cleaning agents, MES prevents calcium soaps from being deposited on equipment surfaces, keeping equipment clean and extending its service life.
Personal Care Products:
MES can be used in personal care products such as shampoo and body wash to prevent calcium soaps from forming residue in hard water and improve the use experience
Principle of action
Chelation:
The sulfonic acid group (-SO₃H) and morpholinium ring in MES molecules have the ability to chelate metal ions and bind with calcium ions in water (Ca² +), preventing calcium ions from reacting with fatty acids to form insoluble calcium soaps.
Dispersion effect:
Through the amphiphilic structure of its hydrophilic group (sulfonic acid group) and hydrophobic group (morpholinium ring), MES can be adsorbed on the surface of calcium soap particles to form a stable dispersion system and prevent the accumulation and deposition of calcium soap particles.
Stabilizing effect:
MES can reduce the surface energy of calcium soap particles, make them evenly dispersed in water, and avoid precipitation and scaling.
pH buffering:
The buffer capacity of MES can maintain the pH stability of the washing system and further optimize the dispersion effect of calcium soap.
