Preparation of 2-(4-chlorophenyl) nitrobenzene
2-(4-chlorophenyl) nitrobenzene is an intermediate for the preparation of pectinylamine, which is a new fungicide with the characteristics of safety, eco-friendliness and low toxicity to crops.
In recent studies, p-chlorobromobenzene and o-chloronitrobenzene were used as raw materials to catalyze the coupling reaction in benzene, ether or tetrahydrofuran solvents with Ni and PPh3 as catalysts under the protection of inert gas. This method has the advantages of fast reaction speed, small amount of catalyst, short reaction time, and the total yield can reach more than 90%, which is suitable for industrial production.
